Milo Borisov is a Bulgarian businessman, engineer, entrepreneur and founder of several international companies as well as one of the founders of the Sport in Bulgaria Foundation, through which he supports the development of amateur and professional sports in Bulgaria. He’s also an inventor with patents and trademarks from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Bulgarian Patent Office.
Born in the city of Stara Zagora in Bulgaria, where he spent his early years. After his family moved to the capital, Sofia, he graduated from a technical school in electronics with honours and a gold badge for development in electrical measurements. He served in the army from 1982-84, then studied computer science at the Higher Electrotechnical Institute in Sofia, graduating in 1989.
After graduation, he started as an entrepreneur and established his first company, TELEMATIC, working in computer networks. Later, he diversified in the development of software platforms and computer games. During this period, he actively participated in creating content for computer games, as well as math models and algorithms, for many of which he later registered patents in the United States.
In 1999, he founded CT Gaming in Bulgaria, one of the leading equipment manufacturers in Eastern Europe’s gaming industry.
In 2010-2015, he focused on developing online gaming platforms, which he later spun off into the company CT Interactive Ltd, which now operates and provides games and content to multiple markets in Europe and Latin America.
In recent years, his business activities include a diversified portfolio of investments in real estate, office buildings, hospitality, leisure, and tourism. On the technology side, he has investments in companies involved in digital advertising, gaming, and media, digital platforms and software solutions, as well as the manufacturing of industrial electronics. He is also an investor in the leisure and entertainment industry, being the majority shareholder in Telematic Interactive Bulgaria AD – a company registered on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and operating in the field of online gaming.
In addition, Borisov is a shareholder in the company International Leisure AD in Bulgaria, which manages and operates an entertainment complex in the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia consisting of several restaurants, a club and a casino.
He is also a shareholder in MBS Trade AD, a company that is an exclusive supplier of SPORT screen displays for the Bulgarian Football League. Travel and tourism are other areas of interest, which Milo Borissov has developed under the brand Palms Travel. To satisfy and exceed expectations, Palms Travel specializes in providing luxurious VIP packages for 5-star travel experiences.
His latest project is the mobile platform GAME ZONE, which is aimed at social games for fun and entertainment. The platform’s innovative concept provides a “GAMES MALL” experience with various games from different providers and a special loyalty program with various rewards.
In recent years, he has actively participated in the support of professional sports in Bulgaria by sponsoring the Bulgarian gold medallists in rhythmic gymnastics from the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, as well as as a shareholder and general sponsor of the Levski professional football club, one of the most famous football club in Bulgaria, founded in 1914.
He is the founder and chairman of the “Sports in Bulgaria” foundation, which also supports mass amateur sports and many talented children and teenagers.
Being a pianist from an early age, Milo Borisov also supports the Bulgarian cultural heritage by appearing as a patron and producer of prominent Bulgarian musicians and composers. For this purpose, he also registered the Palms Music label through which he produced the ballet “The Dream of Pilate” based on Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” and music by the Bulgarian composer Stefan Dimitrov. He is also a producer of the Bulgarian pianist virtuoso Ivan Yanakov for his latest production on Concerto 3 of Rachmaninoff for piano and orchestra to be recorded in June 2024 in London with the London Philharmonic orchestra.
